At Careerzooom, protecting your personal information is something we take seriously — not as a checkbox, but as part of how we've built trust with professionals across the Gulf and beyond since 2007. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Contact details — name, email address, phone number, country of residence

  • Career information — your CV, work history, education, LinkedIn profile URL, and career goals, submitted when you use our CV Writing, LinkedIn, Career Counselling, or related services

  • Account information — if you sign up for our AI CV tools (AI Success Score, AI ATS Score), we collect login details via Google authentication or email

  • Payment information — processed securely through Stripe (see Section 6 below); we do not store your full card details on our servers

  • Technical information — IP address, browser type, device type, and general location (country/city level), collected automatically when you visit our site

2. AI-Powered Tools

When you use our AI CV Success Score or AI ATS Score tools, the CV or profile content you upload is processed using automated, AI-based analysis to generate your score and feedback. These tools are diagnostic only — they identify areas for improvement and do not make any employment, hiring, or eligibility decisions about you.

This analysis is carried out with the assistance of OpenAI, our third-party AI technology provider, who processes your CV content solely to generate your report. Your content is not used by OpenAI to train their models, in line with their standard API data usage policies.

We do not use content you upload to our AI tools to make any automated decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect on you. Your uploaded content is used only to generate the diagnostic report shown to you, and is retained in line with the record-keeping period described in Section 5.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Deliver the service you've purchased (for example, matching your CV with a writer experienced in your industry and target Gulf market)

  • Communicate with you about your order, including drafts, revisions, and delivery

  • Generate results for our AI diagnostic tools, as described in Section 2

  • Improve our website, tools, and services based on how they're used

  • Send you relevant updates about our services, only if you've opted in (see Section 7)

  • Meet legal and regulatory obligations

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make your experience faster and more relevant. Cookies are small text files stored on your device, not on our servers.

  • Essential cookies keep the site functioning (for example, keeping you logged in while using our AI tools)

  • Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it

  • Marketing cookies (where used) help us show relevant offers

You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Some features of the site — particularly our AI CV Review tools, which require sign-up — may not work correctly if essential cookies are blocked.

5. How We Protect Your Information

We use a combination of technical and procedural safeguards to protect your data, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (SSL/TLS) across our website

  • Restricted internal access — only team members who need your information to deliver your service (for example, your assigned writer) can access it

  • Secure storage of CVs and personal documents, with access limited to your active service period plus 24 months (2 years) for post-delivery support and record-keeping purposes

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security — but we work continuously to protect your information using current industry standards.

6. Payment Processing

All payments made on careerzooom.ae are processed securely by Stripe, a globally trusted payment processor. We do not store your complete card or banking details on our servers.

When you make a payment, your card details are handled directly by Stripe under their own security standards and privacy policy, which we encourage you to review at stripe.com/privacy.

7. Marketing Communications

If you provide us with your email address, we may send you updates about our services, career tips relevant to the Gulf job market, and occasional offers — but only where you've consented to this, in line with applicable law.

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email, or by emailing us at support@careerzooom.ae with "UNSUBSCRIBE" in the subject line.

8. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only with:

  • Your assigned CV writer or career strategist, to deliver your service

  • OpenAI, our AI technology provider, solely to process CV content and generate your diagnostic report (see Section 2)

  • Stripe, to process payments securely (see Section 6)

  • Service providers who support our operations (for example, hosting or email delivery), under confidentiality obligations

  • Legal authorities, if required by law

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites linked from our site, including any external tools or resources we may reference.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you

  • Request correction of inaccurate information

  • Request deletion of your information, subject to any legal retention requirements

  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time

10. International Users

While Careerzooom serves clients across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and internationally, our information handling practices are designed to meet the standards required under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, and where applicable, other relevant regional data protection regulations for our international clients.

11. Testimonials

To protect the privacy of our clients, names and photos featured in our testimonials may be changed or generalized unless the client has explicitly consented to being identified.

12. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for working professionals and are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we've collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it promptly.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
